Resumen:	This study systematizes pedagogical practices related to citizenship skills at the preschool level at the I.E.M. Escuela Normal Superior de Pitalito. Using Oscar Jara's methodology and a socio-critical approach, teacher voices, institutional and international state-of-the-art document reviews, and children's narratives were triangulated using the patchwork quilt method. The findings reveal a pedagogical paradox: citizenship manifests itself as a spontaneous and reactive experience in the face of conflict, but lacks intentional curriculum planning to ensure the formation of political subjects. Thus, a teacher's role as an emotionally powerful mediator was identified, but one limited by the lack of tools to foster moral autonomy. It is concluded that it is urgent to move from improvisation to pedagogical structuring; therefore, a classroom plan is proposed that articulates children's participation with clear curricular objectives, contributing to regional educational transformation.
