Resumen:	“The Memory of an Ancestress” is a systematization of experiences that seeks to understand the importance of the collective memory of rural women, bringing visibility to their knowledge and cacao-related practices as an essential way of caring for the territory. The study places at its core the concept of the “cuerpa” as the primary territory of care and a site of political resistance against impositions on motherhood, sexuality, and social roles. Through three analytical categories—rural women, cacao knowledge, and collective memory—the research stands as a political act and a dialogue between academia and lived experience. Its ultimate aim is to contribute to the recovery of cacao culture as a way of inhabiting territories with dignity and sovereignty, regenerating the social fabric around rural women.
