Este libro proporciona una revisión en profundidad de la ínsula, con énfasis en las características anatómicas, diagnósticas, clínicas y quirúrgicas. La corteza insular participa en una variedad de funciones, pero en la literatura actual no se encuentra disponible un recurso completo que catalogue estas funciones.
