Este libro de acceso abierto presenta investigaciones recientes y temas candentes en el campo de la ciencia inmobiliaria en Japón. Incluye traducciones al inglés cuidadosamente seleccionadas de artículos revisados por pares y excelentes artículos publicados en el Japanese Journal of Real Estate Sciences, así como artículos presentados en la conferencia anual de la Asociación Japonesa de Ciencias Inmobiliarias (JARES). Los temas tratados incluyen análisis de mercado de viviendas desocupadas, políticas para la reutilización de viviendas desocupadas, política de impuestos sobre la propiedad, cuestiones de terrenos cuyos propietarios se desconocen, valores catastróficos y inmobiliarios, el plan de optimización del emplazamiento y su influencia en el sector inmobiliario, big data. y tecnologías TIC para el negocio inmobiliario y la gestión pública inmobiliaria.
