Resumen:	Este libro comprende actas seleccionadas de la Conferencia Internacional sobre Agua, Medio Ambiente, Energía y Sociedad. El libro esta dividido en cinco partes. La primera parte trata algunos aspectos de la contaminación ambiental, como la evaluación del entorno socioeconómico para el desarrollo sostenible, las cuestiones ambientales debido al incendio en las minas de carbón y su impacto y sugerencias para implementar medidas de precaución y control, la reurbanización de viviendas en barrios marginales urbanos: problemas y desafíos. , contaminación del aire y ruido en megaciudades, importancia de la calidad ambiental interior en edificios ecológicos. La Parte II analiza indicadores de contaminación como la evaluación y predicción del ruido ambiental, la evaluación del desempeño basada en lógica difusa, la biodiversidad de peces y su reducción periódica, los efectos de las actividades antropogénicas en los ecosistemas de agua dulce y el monitoreo de la contaminación del aire. La Parte III se centra en la generación de contaminación, es decir, la generación y gestión de residuos biomédicos, la lixiviación de metales pesados, etc. La evaluación de la calidad del agua se describe en la Parte IV. La Parte V presenta modelos de calidad del agua. El libro será de interés para investigadores y profesionales en el campo de los recursos hídricos, la hidrología, los recursos ambientales, la ingeniería agrícola, la gestión de cuencas hidrográficas, las ciencias de la tierra, así como para quienes se dedican a la planificación y gestión de los recursos naturales.
