Este libro construye un enfoque multidisciplinario a las cuestiones de seguridad humana relacionadas con la digitalización en el Alto Norte de Europa, es decir, las zonas más septentrionales de Escandinavia, Finlandia y el noroeste de Rusia. Desafía la conceptualización dominante de la ciberseguridad y la reconstruye con el ser humano como objeto referente de seguridad. Mirva Salminen lleva a cabo su estudio de doctorado sobre digitalización y ciberseguridad en el Alto Norte de Europa en el Centro Ártico de la Universidad de Laponia, Finlandia. Anteriormente, llevó a cabo investigaciones para varias organizaciones en los sectores público y privado, incluidas universidades, institutos de investigación y corporaciones, publicando principalmente sobre ciberseguridad y comercialización de seguridad. Gerald Zojer es candidato a doctorado en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Laponia, Finlandia. Su trabajo más reciente se relaciona con las interconexiones entre el desarrollo socioeconómico de las comunidades árticas con las tendencias económicas globales y la adaptación a nuevas tecnologías en la región. Kamrul Hossain es profesor investigador y director del Instituto Norteño de Derecho Ambiental y de las Minorías (NIEM) de la Universidad de Laponia, Finlandia.
