Este libro pone énfasis en nuevas formas de diseñar una ciudad y un entorno urbano sostenibles. Desde varios ángulos se ilumina el futuro de nuestro urbanismo. Desde un punto de vista filosófico, la ciudad se ve como un organismo que sigue principios ecosistémicos complejos, arrojando luz sobre las perspectivas indígenas para que resulten beneficiosas para el diseño sostenible y se plantean preguntas fundamentales sobre si la práctica arquitectónica actual es realmente sostenible. Al mismo tiempo, se presentan prácticas concretas para ciudades en transformación, centrándose en la infraestructura verde, los principios de las ciudades inteligentes y la salud. |
