Este volumen editado se centra en los intentos de varios países del Caribe por diversificar sus economías y sociedades. Se hace en el contexto de las dificultades políticas y económicas que estos países han enfrentado desde la crisis económica de 2007-2008 y del éxito que han tenido en mover sus economías en una dirección diferente. Los autores utilizan niveles de análisis muy distintos para brindar una visión matizada de los esfuerzos de diversificación en Trinidad y Tobago, Jamaica, Cuba, las Antillas francesas y las Antillas holandesas. El libro atraerá a investigadores académicos, profesionales, formuladores de políticas y a todos los interesados en la política y el desarrollo de la región del Caribe.
