Resumen:	Este libro presenta una descripción general completa de las técnicas clínicas recientes y los hallazgos relacionados con las heridas por quemaduras, las infecciones de las heridas y el tratamiento de las heridas en general. Con la ayuda de numerosas ilustraciones de alta calidad, la primera parte del libro describe varios enfoques para el tratamiento de pacientes con quemaduras. A su vez, la segunda parte se centra en las infecciones de heridas. Aquí, los autores del capítulo resumen las opciones de tratamiento más recientes para la infección de heridas tanto en niños como en adultos. La tercera y última parte aborda el tratamiento de las heridas en general, completando el contenido. Dada la amplitud de su cobertura, el libro ofrece un recurso valioso tanto para cirujanos plásticos principiantes como experimentados.
