Resumen:	Este libro revisa todos los aspectos importantes de los trastornos de ansiedad con el objetivo de arrojar nueva luz sobre estos trastornos mediante una comprensión combinada de los paradigmas tradicionales y novedosos. El libro está dividido en cinco secciones, la primera de las cuales reinterpreta la ansiedad desde una perspectiva de ciencia de redes, examinando las propiedades topológicas alteradas de las redes cerebrales en los trastornos de ansiedad. La segunda sección analiza los avances recientes en la comprensión de la neurobiología de los trastornos de ansiedad y abarca, por ejemplo, las interacciones entre genes y medio ambiente y las funciones de los sistemas de neurotransmisores y el sistema de oxitocina.
