| Resumen: |
Tourism governance has become a key approach for strengthening territorial cohesion, sustainability, and competitiveness in tourist destinations. This research aimed to design a tourism governance model focused on knowledge management and tourism integration in the Neiva-Villavieja corridor, Huila, Colombia. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining descriptive and propositional methods, supported by document review, territorial analysis, and the application of the Delphi method with the participation of 12 experts from the tourism sector. The results revealed weaknesses related to institutional cohesion, coordination among stakeholders, information management, and territorial planning. The study also identified the need to strengthen participation and cooperation mechanisms to consolidate sustainable tourism integration processes, resulting in the formulation of a model based on knowledge management, territorial cohesion, multisectoral participation, and strategic monitoring, thereby improving decision-making in the Neiva-Villavieja corridor. |
