Resumen:	This research aimed to analyze the pedagogical practices of the Gustavo Posada Educational Institution in Istmina, Chocó, specifically regarding the strengthening of civic skills and its environmental culture event. The research was qualitative, specifically a descriptive study, as the analysis was conducted within the institution itself. Through the voices of teachers, students, and families, the study sought to understand perceptions, attitudes, and experiences in environmental education in a rural setting. The institution has implemented various significant pedagogical actions (school gardens, ecological campaigns, community projects) to raise awareness among students. Limitations identified included the disorganization of these experiences, curricular integration, and institutional follow-up. Environmental education helps modify attitudes and values, reinforcing community commitment and civic duty, as well as civic education. Therefore, it is suggested that sustainable and cross-cutting strategies be developed that involve the educational institution and its dynamics in the process of creating a critical and participatory environmental culture.
