Resumen:	Este libro presenta a los lectores los últimos avances en relación con las heridas por lesión por presión, las heridas por diabetes y la terapia de heridas por presión negativa. La primera parte trata exclusivamente de las heridas por úlceras por presión, describiendo detalladamente su prevención, clasificación y tratamiento. A su vez, los capítulos que abordan las heridas de la diabetes forman la parte central del libro. Aquí, los autores brindan orientación sobre la medicación y el tratamiento (p. ej., células madre, láser) de los pacientes que padecen esta enfermedad.
