Este volumen es un completo manual del pensamiento ruso que ofrece un estudio en profundidad de las principales figuras, corrientes y desarrollos de la historia intelectual rusa, que abarca el período comprendido entre finales del siglo XVIII y finales del siglo XX. Escrito por un grupo de distinguidos académicos, así como por algunos más jóvenes de Rusia, Europa, Estados Unidos y Canadá, este Manual reconstruye una imagen vibrante de la vida intelectual y cultural en Rusia y la Unión Soviética durante el período más próspero del siglo XIX. la historia del país. Contrariamente a la visión generalizada de la modernidad rusa como producto de un préstamo e imitación intelectual, los ensayos recopilados en este volumen revelan el espíritu creativo del pensamiento ruso, que produjo una variedad de ideas filosóficas y sociales originales, así como gran literatura, arte, y crítica. Si bien rechaza interpretaciones reduccionistas, el Manual emplea un enfoque unificador en su tema, presentando el pensamiento ruso en el contexto del cambiante panorama histórico del país. Este Manual abrirá un nuevo mundo intelectual a muchos lectores y proporcionará una base segura para una mayor exploración. |
