Resumen:	El libro examina la crisis económica en la Unión Europea y sus consecuencias para la integración europea y los estados miembros. Al analizar las disposiciones introducidas por el Tratado de Lisboa, desde los efectos del seguimiento macroeconómico hasta las restricciones producidas por el Pacto Fiscal, ofrece un análisis de la situación actual de la Unión Europea y los efectos de las medidas adoptadas para gestionar la crisis, haciendo también referencia cómo perciben Europa sus ciudadanos. Además, los capítulos ofrecen reflexiones sobre el proceso de integración europea, en particular los efectos que las políticas adoptadas para afrontar la crisis han tenido sobre la soberanía económica y financiera de los estados miembros. Este examen detallado de la situación de la UE entre el Tratado de Lisboa y el Pacto Fiscal se caracteriza por un enfoque multidisciplinario original que ofrece una reflexión articulada sobre las críticas que afectan las acciones de las instituciones tanto europeas como nacionales.
