Resumen:	Este volumen de actas destaca las últimas investigaciones y desarrollos en psicometría y estadística. Representa presentaciones seleccionadas y revisadas por pares realizadas en la 84° Reunión Internacional Anual de la Sociedad Psicométrica (IMPS), organizada por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y celebrada en Santiago, Chile del 15 al 19 de julio de 2019. La IMPS es una de las más grandes reuniones internacionales sobre medición cuantitativa en educación, psicología y ciencias sociales. Atrae a aproximadamente 500 participantes de todo el mundo y presenta presentaciones en papel y carteles, simposios, talleres, conferencias magistrales y presentaciones invitadas. Los capítulos incluidos han sido escritos por destacados expertos y jóvenes investigadores prometedores. Los capítulos abordan una gran variedad de temas que incluyen, entre otros, la teoría de la respuesta al ítem, las pruebas adaptativas de múltiples etapas y los modelos de diagnóstico cognitivo. Este volumen es el octavo de una serie de volúmenes recientes que cubren la investigación presentada en el IMPS.
