Este libro se centra principalmente en la colonización microbiana, su papel en el crecimiento de las plantas y el ciclo de nutrientes, las micorrizas y proporciona una descripción general de los microorganismos fitosféricos en sistemas de cultivos sostenibles. A pesar de los avances realizados en el estudio de la sinergia entre plantas y microbios, la relación entre los microbios y la salud vegetal en el contexto de la seguridad alimentaria, la gestión de los nutrientes del suelo y la salud humana y vegetal aún está en gran medida inexplorada. Para abordar esa brecha, el libro presenta reseñas y artículos de investigación originales que destacan los últimos descubrimientos en probióticos vegetales, su especificidad, diversidad y función. Secciones adicionales que abordan el manejo de nutrientes, la salud humana y el manejo del microbioma vegetal para mejorar la productividad de las plantas completan la cobertura. |
