Resumen:	Este libro contiene una selección de las últimas investigaciones en el campo de los métodos, usos y resultados de las ciencias sociales computacionales (CSS), tal como se presentaron en la conferencia anual de 2018 de la CSSSA. Esta conferencia se llevó a cabo en Santa Fe, Nuevo México, del 25 al 28 de octubre de 2018, en el Hotel Drury Plaza. CSS investiga la dinámica social y de comportamiento tanto en la naturaleza como en la sociedad, a través de simulación por computadora, análisis de redes y la ciencia de sistemas complejos. La Sociedad de Ciencias Sociales Computacionales de las Américas (CSSSA) es una sociedad profesional que tiene como objetivo avanzar en el campo de CSS en todas sus áreas, desde principios fundamentales hasta aplicaciones del mundo real, mediante la celebración de conferencias y talleres, promoviendo estándares de excelencia científica en la investigación. y enseñar y publicar resultados de investigaciones novedosas. Lo que sigue es una representación diversa de nuevos enfoques y hallazgos de investigación, utilizando las herramientas de CSS y Modelado basado en agentes (ABM) para explorar fenómenos complejos en muchos dominios diferentes. .
