Resumen:	Este volumen incluye una colección de artículos técnicos sobre un tema importante en ingeniería geotécnica; el comportamiento y tratamiento de suelos expansivos. Los estudios de investigación incluyen investigaciones sobre nuevas técnicas de estabilización de suelos expansivos utilizando diferentes aditivos o técnicas de consolidación mecánica, así como nuevos enfoques experimentales para evaluar el comportamiento de suelos expansivos. También incluyen una evaluación de las condiciones límite de humectación en el cambio de volumen de suelos expansivos, así como el papel de las condiciones límite hidrológicas en climas áridos.
