Este libro cubre todos los aspectos de la anestesia fuera del quirófano y la práctica de la sedación profunda. Se enfatizan los aspectos prácticos de la anestesia, con especial énfasis en el manejo de eventos adversos imprevistos. También se incluye una descripción concisa pero completa de las ciencias básicas relevantes. Aunque los contribuyentes son predominantemente norteamericanos, se incorporan elementos esenciales de la práctica fuera del quirófano en países distintos de los EE. UU. Anestesia fuera del quirófano: una revisión integral está dirigido principalmente a todos los proveedores de anestesia: anestesiólogos, enfermeras anestesistas y residentes. Los capítulos específicos, como anestesia dental, anestesia para procedimientos de urgencias y sedación para procedimientos cosméticos, son una guía de referencia útil para los médicos expuestos a una breve capacitación en anestesia durante su programa de residencia sin anestesia. |
