Resumen:	Este libro utiliza métodos mixtos para ampliar el concepto de "reservas de bienestar" para referirse a formas dinámicas de trabajar con los demás. Aborda metáforas y praxis para tejer hilos de experiencia. El objetivo del concepto de reservas de bienestar es permitir a las personas reevaluar la economía y ser más conscientes de la forma en que descuidamos los aspectos sociales y ambientales de la vida. La búsqueda de ganancias a expensas de las personas y el medio ambiente es un problema central para la democracia y la gobernabilidad. La vulnerabilidad de las ciudades es un síntoma de la falta de equilibrio entre las necesidades individuales y colectivas. Este libro explora el potencial de las ciudades, específicamente en las regiones de Indonesia, África y Australia, para volverse más productivas como sitios para la seguridad alimentaria y del agua mediante un uso más creativo de la tecnología. Destaca la necesidad de contar con socios que consideren factibles la alimentación y la seguridad a nivel de los hogares si se brinda apoyo a nivel comunitario, nacional e internacional. El libro examina cómo estas regiones se ven afectadas por la demografía, el cambio climático y los movimientos de personas, pero también explora formas de establecer una gestión eficaz de los ecosistemas culturales. .
