Este volumen contribuido contiene una colección de artÃculos sobre los avances más recientes en métodos integrales. Este trabajo, el primero de dos volúmenes, se centra en la construcción de métodos teóricos integrales. Escritos por investigadores reconocidos internacionalmente, los capÃtulos de este libro se basan en charlas impartidas en la Decimocuarta Conferencia Internacional sobre Métodos Integrales en Ciencia e IngenierÃa, celebrada del 25 al 29 de julio de 2016 en Padua, Italia.
