Este volumen reúne una amplia gama de artículos que exploran, entre otras cosas, hasta qué punto los idiomas y las culturas son variables con respecto a las interacciones en torno al evento de la muerte. Motivado por la idea de JL Mey del pragmema, un acto de habla situado, el volumen tiene implicaciones tanto teóricas como prácticas para los académicos que trabajan en diferentes campos de investigación. Como revelan los artículos de este volumen, a pesar de las diferencias terminológicas entre diversas disciplinas, las interacciones en torno al acontecimiento de la muerte sirven para brindar consuelo, no sólo a los moribundos, sino también a los familiares y amigos del fallecido, ayudándolos así a " adaptarse" a la nueva situación. |
