Resumen:	El libro ilustra los considerables avances en la economía evolutiva moderna y aborda cuestiones centrales del comportamiento económico, la interacción de actores heterogéneos en entornos inciertos y la posibilidad de agregar observaciones a nivel macroeconómico. Presenta las bases del cambio económico como los principales pilares de un enfoque económico que se centra en procesos complejos impulsados ​​por la innovación endógena y por la crisis. Las consideraciones teóricas se complementan con estudios econométricos para demostrar la relevancia del pensamiento económico evolutivo para mejorar nuestra comprensión de los problemas más desafiantes relacionados con el crecimiento y el desarrollo económicos.
