Este libro examina la investigación sobre la enseñanza del idioma inglés (ELT) en Medio Oriente y el Norte de África (MENA). Si bien la región MENA ha sido testigo de cambios considerables en los últimos años, hasta ahora ha tendido a estar subrepresentada en la investigación ELT tanto a nivel regional como internacional. Este libro pretende ayudar a llenar este vacío examinando el estado actual del campo, examinando en detalle una variedad de cuestiones y conceptos y sugiriendo direcciones futuras para futuras investigaciones. Las diferentes partes cubren temas tan diversos como pruebas, evaluación y valoración; argumentación en el análisis del discurso; enseñar diglosia en vocabulario; y el papel del pensamiento crítico en el aprendizaje y la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras. Será de interés para los investigadores y profesionales de ELT a nivel internacional, no solo para aquellos que se encuentran en los contextos de MENA. Sahbi Hidri es profesora asistente de lingüística aplicada en la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales de Túnez, Túnez. Es el fundador de Túnez TESOL, la Revista Árabe de Lingüística Aplicada y la Asociación Tunecina de Evaluación y Evaluación de Lenguas. |
