Estas son las actas de la Octava Conferencia Internacional sobre Computación y Cognición de Diseño (DCC''18) celebrada en el Polytecnico di Milano en Italia. Este volumen presenta avances en teoría y aplicaciones y demuestra la profundidad y amplitud de la computación y la cognición del diseño. El pensamiento de diseño, la etiqueta dada a los actos de diseño, se ha convertido en una visión paradigmática que ha trascendido la disciplina del diseño y ahora se utiliza ampliamente en los negocios y en otros lugares.
