Este libro reúne a académicos eminentes y emergentes para presentar investigaciones de vanguardia sobre diversas concepciones de la superdotación y el talento desde una variedad de perspectivas internacionales. Cubre puntos de vista clásicos, enfatizando el coeficiente intelectual, pero también busca alejar el debate académico del énfasis exclusivo común en las habilidades basadas en el coeficiente intelectual. En cada capítulo, los contribuyentes abordan tanto los avances teóricos como las aplicaciones prácticas para administradores, profesores y padres.
