Este volumen ofrece investigaciones y desarrollos de última generación en ciencias de servicios y áreas relacionadas de investigación, educación y práctica. Muestra tecnologÃas y aplicaciones emergentes en campos que incluyen atención médica, tecnologÃa de la información, transporte, deportes, logÃstica y servicios públicos. Independientemente del tamaño y del servicio, una organización de servicios es un sistema de servicios. Debido a la naturaleza sociotécnica de un sistema de servicios, se debe adoptar un enfoque sistémico para diseñar, desarrollar y prestar servicios, destinados a satisfacer las necesidades tanto utilitarias como sociopsicológicas de los usuarios finales. La comprensión efectiva de los servicios y los sistemas de servicios a menudo requiere combinar múltiples métodos para considerar cómo las interacciones de las personas, la tecnologÃa, las organizaciones y la información crean valor en diversas condiciones. Los artÃculos de este volumen destacan formas de abordar estos desafÃos técnicos en la ciencia de servicios y se basan en presentaciones de la Conferencia Internacional INFORMS sobre Ciencia de Servicios de 2018. |
