Este volumen presenta investigaciones actualizadas sobre el delta del Nilo y analiza los desafíos que implica y las oportunidades para mejorar su productividad. Los temas abordados incluyen: las aguas subterráneas en el delta del Nilo y su calidad; el mapeo de aguas subterráneas con tecnologías de teledetección; degradación de la tierra; suelos afectados por la salinidad; riego en fincas; la remediación del agua de drenaje agrícola para su reutilización sostenible; el uso de imágenes de satélite para estimar la batimetría de lagos costeros; la evaluación de la zona costera del delta del Nilo y su gestión; su calidad de sedimentos y agua; y puertos pesqueros, pesqueros y pesqueros.
