Este libro demuestra la medición, monitoreo y mapeo de contaminantes ambientales en suelos y sedimentos, aguas superficiales y subterráneas y en la atmósfera. Este libro explora técnicas de vanguardia basadas en técnicas metodológicas y de modelado en técnicas geoespaciales modernas, centrándose específicamente en las tendencias recientes en técnicas de minería de datos y modelado robusto. También presenta modificaciones y mejoras a las tecnologías de control existentes para la remediación de contaminantes ambientales. Además, incluye tres secciones separadas sobre contaminantes, evaluación de riesgos y remediación de diferentes contaminantes existentes y emergentes. Cubre temas importantes tales como: desechos radiactivos, desechos sólidos y peligrosos, contaminantes de metales pesados, contaminantes de arsénico, contaminación microplástica, microbiología del suelo y sedimentos, salinidad y sodicidad del suelo, evaluación de ecotoxicidad acuática, contaminación por fluoruro, hidroquímica, geoquímica, contaminación interior y Aspectos de Salud Humana.
