Este libro proporciona a los profesionales, así como a los estudiantes, la comprensión de que el emprendimiento social y la responsabilidad social corporativa (RSE) son ahora principios empresariales fundamentales para la sostenibilidad. Alienta a los emprendedores sociales en su papel de precursores, en la creación de nuevos modelos de negocios que desarrollen, faciliten o implementen soluciones constructivas a problemas sociales, culturales y ambientales. Al mismo tiempo, este libro considera la responsabilidad social corporativa como un medio para desafiar a las entidades existentes a implementar y modificar modelos de negocios anteriores, insostenibles y predatorios; y aumentar la responsabilidad social, cultural y ambiental. Al vincular estos dos conceptos, este libro provoca un despertar paradigmático, según el cual el motor fundamental de la creación y gestión de empresas ya no se basa en la maximización de beneficios, sino en la mejora de la calidad de vida de la sociedad. |
