En el ámbito estadÃstico, ciertos temas han recibido considerable atención durante la última década, debido al crecimiento y la evolución de los datos y los desafÃos teóricos. Este crecimiento ha ido invariablemente acompañado de avances computacionales, que han presentado tanto a los usuarios finales como a los investigadores las oportunidades necesarias para manejar datos e implementar soluciones de modelado con fines estadÃsticos.
