Este libro examina el papel de la energía soviética durante la Guerra Fría. Basado en documentos hasta ahora poco conocidos de archivos de Europa occidental y oriental, combina la historia del petróleo y el gas soviéticos con la historia general de la Guerra Fría. Este volumen abre nuevos caminos al enmarcar la energía soviética en un contexto multinacional, teniendo en cuenta no sólo la visión desde Moscú, sino también las perspectivas de la Europa del Este comunista, los EE.UU., la OTAN, así como de varios países de Europa occidental, concretamente Italia. , Francia y Alemania Occidental. Este libro cuestiona algunos de los supuestos de larga data sobre las relaciones entre los bloques Este-Oeste, además de arrojar nueva luz sobre las relaciones dentro de los bloques en relación con la cuestión de la energía. Al reunir a una variedad de historiadores y especialistas jóvenes y veteranos de Europa, Rusia y Estados Unidos, este libro representa un esfuerzo pionero para abordar el papel de la energía soviética durante la Guerra Fría desde una perspectiva transnacional. |
