Este volumen presenta artÃculos de conferencias seleccionados que abordan el futuro sostenible de la ASEAN desde la perspectiva de las disciplinas empresariales y de ciencias sociales. Al abordar los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) previstos por las Naciones Unidas en los ámbitos del medio ambiente, la salud y el bienestar, que plantean medios potenciales para reducir las desigualdades a nivel mundial, los autores se centran en cuestiones y desafÃos especÃficos que enfrenta la región de rápido crecimiento de la ASEAN. y presentar sugerencias para la cooperación y el compromiso de los gobiernos, las organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) y la sociedad en general, en lÃnea con la Visión 2020 de la ASEAN. Los artÃculos se seleccionan de la Tercera Conferencia Internacional sobre el Futuro de la ASEAN (ICoFA) 2019, organizado por Universiti Teknologi MARA en Malasia, cuyo tema de conferencia "Trazando el futuro sostenible de la ASEAN" permite el discurso intelectual sobre cuestiones de sostenibilidad desde los negocios y las ciencias sociales, asà como la ciencia y la tecnologÃa. La selección de artÃculos se publica en dos volúmenes y comprende conocimientos académicos y prácticos sobre la sostenibilidad en la ASEAN. Este primer volumen de artÃculos de académicos de ciencias sociales y empresariales será de interés para investigadores y formuladores de polÃticas interesados ​​en los desarrollos de sostenibilidad en la región de la ASEAN. |

This volume showcases selected conference papers addressing the sustainable future of ASEAN from the perspectives of business and social science disciplines. In addressing the 17 Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs) envisioned by the United Nations in the domains of environment, health and well-being, posing potential means of reducing inequalities globally, the authors target specific issues and challenges confronting the fast-growing region of ASEAN and present suggestions for co-operation and commitment from governments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and society at large, in line with the ASEAN Vision 2020. Papers are selected from the 3rd International Conference on the Future of ASEAN (ICoFA) 2019, organised by Universiti Teknologi MARA in Malaysia, whose conference theme "Charting the Sustainable Future of ASEAN" enables intellectual discourse on sustainability issues from business and the social sciences, as well as science and technology. The selection of papers is published in two volumes, comprising scholarly and practical insights into sustainability in ASEAN.
