Este libro ofrece una guía completa sobre la enfermedad hemorroidal, la afección coloproctológica más frecuente. Además de los capítulos ampliamente ilustrados que cubren la epidemiología y las bases anatómicas, fisiológicas y fisiopatológicas de las hemorroides, los lectores encontrarán información útil sobre la clasificación de la enfermedad hemorroidal y las modalidades para evaluarla, así como su impacto significativo en la elección del tratamiento. El trabajo presenta un panel completo de todas las terapias habitualmente adoptadas para tratar esta afección y sus resultados, comentadas críticamente por destacados especialistas.
