Este es el primer volumen de la nueva serie Springer Major Reference Work titulada Coloproctología. El libro cubre temas clave en la anatomía y fisiología del colon, recto y ano y el diagnóstico de enfermedades y trastornos colorrectales/anales. Por lo tanto, constituye una base sólida para futuros volúmenes de la serie que se centrarán en el tratamiento de condiciones clínicas más específicas.
