El volumen reúne contribuciones teóricas sobre los derechos humanos y la justicia global en el contexto de las migraciones internacionales. Aborda la necesidad de repensar los derechos humanos y las teorías de la justicia en relación con la transformación de los marcos sociales de referencia que propician las migraciones internacionales. El objetivo principal de este volumen colectivo es analizar y proponer principios de justicia que sirvan para abordar dos desafíos principales relacionados con las migraciones internacionales que son analíticamente diferenciables aunque inextricablemente vinculados en términos normativos: distribuir mejor los recursos finitos del planeta entre todos sus habitantes; y asegurar el reconocimiento de los derechos humanos en las políticas migratorias actuales. Por la naturaleza misma del debate sobre la justicia global y la implementación de políticas de derechos humanos y migratorias, este volumen interdisciplinario pretende trascender el ámbito académico y apelar a un público amplio a través de reflexiones argumentativas. Desafiando las fronteras de la justicia en la era de las migraciones representa una contribución fresca y oportuna. En una época en la que los intereses nacionales están estructuralmente sobrevalorados y las fronteras cada vez más fortalecidas, es un soplo de aire fresco leer un libro en el que los flujos migratorios no se convierten en una amenaza. The volume gathers theoretical contributions on human rights and global justice in the context of international migration. It addresses the need to reconsider human rights and the theories of justice in connection with the transformation of the social frames of reference that international migrations foster. The main goal of this collective volume is to analyze and propose principles of justice that serve to address two main challenges connected to international migrations that are analytically differentiable although inextricably linked in normative terms: to better distribute the finite resources of the planet among all its inhabitants; and to ensure the recognition of human rights in current migration policies. Due to the very nature of the debate on global justice and the implementation of human rights and migration policies, this interdisciplinary volume aims at transcending the academic sphere and appeals to a large public through argumentative reflections. Challengingthe Borders of Justice in the Age of Migrations represents a fresh and timely contribution.
