En lugar de analizar las fronteras como meras líneas de demarcación territorial en un sentido geopolítico, arroja nueva luz sobre su papel cambiante en la definición y negociación de la identidad, la autoridad, la seguridad y las diferencias sociales y económicas. Al reunir perspectivas innovadoras e interdisciplinarias, el libro examina el nexo entre autoridad, sociedad, tecnología y cultura, al tiempo que proporciona análisis en profundidad de los conflictos internacionales actuales.
