Este libro destaca estrategias de tratamiento para biopelículas bacterianas en relación con una variedad de enfermedades humanas. En particular, revisa la formación de biopelículas bacterianas y su mecanismo. Los temas cubiertos incluyen biopelículas en la salud humana, el papel de las biopelículas en la mediación de enfermedades humanas y métodos para probar biopelículas bacterianas. Otras secciones se concentran en enfermedades mediadas por biopelículas en diferentes partes del tracto gastrointestinal humano, mientras que también se cubren estrategias terapéuticas para el control de biopelículas y agentes naturales que alteran las biopelículas bacterianas. Los lectores también encontrarán los últimos avances en probióticos y biopelículas, así como el uso de probióticos para contrarrestar las infecciones asociadas a biopelículas.
