Este libro analiza el legado artístico y cultural de las sociedades islámicas occidentales y sus interacciones con las sociedades islámica, cristiana y judía en el marco del Mediterráneo bajomedieval, desde una variedad de perspectivas multidisciplinares. El libro, organizado en cuatro partes, aborda el legado andalusí desde su presencia en Oriente y Occidente; analiza las relaciones y transferencias entre Al-Andalus y las producciones artísticas de los reinos cristianos de la Península Ibérica; explora otras manifestaciones del legado andalusí en los campos del conocimiento, la construcción, la identidad y los estudios religiosos; y reconsidera las transferencias ornamentales y los intercambios de manifestaciones artísticas entre Oriente y Occidente a lo largo de la cuenca mediterránea. El capítulo 2 es de acceso abierto bajo licencia CC BY 4.0. María Marcos Cobaleda es Profesora Asistente en la Universidad de Málaga, España. Anteriormente ocupó cargos en EHESS, París, Francia, y en el Instituto de Estudos Medievais, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. Su investigación se centra en la aplicación de sistemas de información geográfica (SIG) a la historia del arte islámico. |
