En este libro, expertos de los campos del derecho y la filosofía exploran las obras de Aristóteles para iluminar la tan debatida y fascinante relación entre las emociones y la justicia. Las emociones son importantes en relación con la democracia y la equidad: son relevantes para la aplicación judicial de los derechos, la argumentación jurídica y los procesos de toma de decisiones en los órganos legislativos y los tribunales. No se puede ignorar el papel decisivo que desempeñan las emociones, los sentimientos y las pasiones en estos procesos, ni siquiera quienes creen que las emociones no tienen un lugar legítimo en la esfera pública. Un creciente cuerpo de literatura sobre estos temas reconoce las ideas fundamentales aportadas por Aristóteles. Este libro ofrece un análisis exhaustivo de su pensamiento en este contexto, así como propuestas para diálogos inspiradores entre sus obras y las escritas por una selección de pensadores modernos y contemporáneos.
