Este volumen presenta una agenda estratégica de investigación interdisciplinaria sobre infraestructuras de llegada. Las infraestructuras de llegada son aquellas partes del tejido urbano en las que los recién llegados se enredan al llegar y donde se producen y negocian sus futuras movilidades sociales locales o translocales. Desafiando el predominio de las normatividades, temporalidades y geografías de "llegada" nacionales, los autores examinan la posición y el potencial de las ciudades como lugares de llegada transnacionalmente integrados. Al cuestionar críticamente las concepciones de la llegada de inmigrantes orientada hacia el asentamiento y la integración, el volumen dirige la atención a trayectorias migratorias mucho más diversas que dan forma a nuestras ciudades hoy. Cada capítulo examina cómo los migrantes, los burócratas de la calle, los residentes locales y los actores de la sociedad civil construyen (con los recursos que tienen a mano) las infraestructuras que acogen, canalizan y gobiernan la llegada. |
