Este libro combina las ideas de trece eruditos shavianos que examinan los temas del matrimonio, las relaciones y las asociaciones a lo largo de todas las obras principales de Bernard Shaw. También conecta las propias experiencias de amor y matrimonio de Shaw con los temas que emergen en sus obras, mostrando cómo sus relaciones personales dentro y fuera de los vínculos matrimoniales cambian la forma en que sus personajes entran y salen de matrimonios y desalianzas.
