Este libro examina las diferentes formas en que el trauma interviene en las vidas de quienes interactúan con el sistema de justicia y cómo el trauma puede exacerbarse en entornos legales. Incluye tanto a las víctimas como a los perpetradores al brindar una perspectiva sobre el trauma en general y un marco que guiará a quienes evalúan y tratan a las personas en entornos forenses. De alcance integral, cubre áreas clave como problemas de desarrollo, emociones, dificultades lingüísticas y de comunicación, y poblaciones especiales como veteranos, inmigrantes, mujeres maltratadas, personas encarceladas y niños.
