La segunda edición de este manual es una guía actualizada para la aplicación de intervenciones basadas en catéteres en todo el rango de edad de pacientes con enfermedades cardíacas congénitas, desde la vida fetal hasta la edad adulta. Considera los cambios y mejoras que se han producido durante los últimos años en términos de nuevos procedimientos, nuevas herramientas y dispositivos (en particular en el campo de las válvulas), nuevas imágenes y estrategias previas al procedimiento, como la impresión 3D, Angiografía rotacional e imágenes de fusión. Proporciona a los lectores instrucciones claras sobre técnicas de acceso vascular, dilatación valvular, angioplastia, implantación de stent, cierre de defectos, creación de defectos, implantación de válvulas pulmonares y sobre el abordaje híbrido, así como sobre varios otros procedimientos.
