Este libro de texto integral, que cubre todos los aspectos del manejo perioperatorio de pacientes sometidos a trasplante de órganos, sirve como referencia estándar para los médicos que atienden a pacientes trasplantados en el día a día, así como para aquellos que se encuentran con un trasplante de órganos sólo ocasionalmente en su clínica. práctica. La anestesia y la atención perioperatoria para el trasplante de órganos cubren el trasplante de corazón, pulmón, hígado, páncreas y riñón, así como los trasplantes de injertos de tejido multivisceral y compuesto. Para cada tipo de trasplante, se aborda todo el espectro de consideraciones perioperatorias: preparación preoperatoria, manejo de la anestesia intraoperatoria, técnicas quirúrgicas y cuidados posoperatorios. Cada capítulo contiene recomendaciones basadas en evidencia, pautas sociales relevantes, algoritmos de gestión y protocolos institucionales en forma de tablas, diagramas de flujo y figuras.
