Este libro proporciona un enfoque práctico para el manejo anestésico de procedimientos quirúrgicos y no quirúrgicos en todo el espectro de subespecialidades de la anestesia. Este libro ayudará al médico a planificar su anestesia desde la fase de evaluación preoperatoria hasta la recuperación completa o el traslado a otra área de cuidados especiales. El énfasis está tanto en la técnica planificada como, más importante aún, en la lógica o razonamiento detrás de la técnica sugerida. Este libro aborda todos los procedimientos importantes en anestesiología, incluida la evaluación preoperatoria, el manejo de las vías respiratorias y la administración de líquidos.
