Este libro analiza cuestiones clave relacionadas con las relaciones de África con los actores globales. Proporciona una trayectoria integral de las relaciones de África con actores bilaterales y multilaterales importantes, evaluando cómo la Guerra Fría afectó las políticas políticas de los sistemas estatales africanos, sus economías y su seguridad. En conjunto, los ensayos de este volumen brindan una comprensión colectiva del impulso de África para mejorar la capacidad de su estado de los asuntos globales y evalúan si de hecho es capaz de hacerlo. Dawn Nagar es investigadora principal del Centro para la Resolución de Conflictos (CCR), Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica. Charles Mutasa es consultor independiente en políticas de desarrollo.
