Este libro traza los avances tecnológicos desde una perspectiva ética africana. Explora la idea de que, si bien ciertas tecnologías han beneficiado a los africanos, el hecho de que estas tecnologías hayan sido diseñadas y producidas en y para un entorno diferente genera conflictos con los valores éticos africanos. Escritos en un estilo sencillo y atractivo, los autores aplican una lente ética africana a temas como: la Cuarta Revolución Industrial, el estatus moral de la tecnología, la tecnología y las relaciones sexuales, y la bioética y la tecnología. Beatrice Dedaa Okyere-Manu es profesora titular de Ética Aplicada en la Escuela de Religión, Filosofía y Clásicas de la Universidad de KwaZulu-Natal, Sudáfrica, donde también es directora del Departamento de Estudios de Ética. |
