Este volumen de actas es una colección de artículos revisados por pares presentados en la 8.ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Métodos Blandos en Probabilidad y Estadística (SMPS 2016) celebrada en Roma (Italia). El libro está dedicado a la ciencia de datos, cuyo objetivo es desarrollar métodos automatizados para analizar cantidades masivas de datos y extraer conocimiento de ellos. Muestra cómo la ciencia de datos emplea diversas técnicas de programación y métodos de manipulación de datos, visualización de datos, aprendizaje automático, probabilidad y estadística. Los métodos blandos propuestos en este volumen representan una colección de herramientas en estos campos que también pueden ser útiles para la ciencia de datos. |
